How will this subject benefit me?

Did you know that the UK is a pioneer in Creative Interactive Multimedia? This qualification is a cutting edge vocational course which equips students with a wide range of knowledge and skills needed to work in the creative digital media sector. You will start at the pre-production phase and develop your skills through a number of practical assignments as you create a range of different multimedia products.

Who is this course appropriate for?

The course is suited to all students with an interest in creative interactive multimedia. It is especially suited to students who are creative with good IT and technical skills.

dIGITAL PRODUCTS PORTFOLIO 

75%

These units comprise three pieces of coursework where students will develop digital graphics, a website and an interactive multimedia product. Students research, plan, design, create and evaluate each of these digital products. 

UNIT 4 

DESIGN THEORY

 25%

Students complete a written exam based on the theory of creative iMedia. Students will learn about storyboards, moodboards, camera angles, colour pallets and layout principles. 

What opportunities will this give me?

Careers in web design, game design, animation, graphic design, video/sound editing and interactive multimedia are likely paths for pupils studying this course.  This course is also a perfect choice for those wishing to study a BTEC in IT/Multimedia at 6th form or college.
