Rho Kappa is an honor society for the recognition of excellence in social studies at the high school level. This society is open to juniors and seniors who meet the membership entrance criteria. Rho Kappa was created in 2012 as the first national organization to recognize excellence in history and the social studies at the high school level. Previous to Rho Kappa, Norton High School began its membership in Opus Bono Historiae in 2011 which was a Massachusetts based honor society for history/social studies.
