Foxboro Public Schools Summer Institute: Sheltered English Immersion Recertification
LSDO Fall 2022 Dinner Series - Help: I’m not an EL teacher! Preparing All Teachers to Meet the Needs of English Learners
Lesley Institute for Trauma Sensitivity
We are happy to announce that we have once again partnered with Lesley University's Trauma Institute to offer our staff a graduate course which will be paid for by the district. This opportunity will be funded through an SEL grant that has been awarded to the district. We must meet a minimum class size in order to run each course, and participation will be capped at 25 for each class. In order to gauge interest in the different course options, we are requesting that you complete the survey linked below if you are interested in participating in these courses. We will be running up to two courses. Participants will be awarded graduate credits through the University upon successful completion of the course. As noted above, Norton will pay for the course as long as participants meet minimum attendance requirements set by the professor and earn a minimum of a B in the course.
The courses will be an eight week module beginning in mid-March. There will be five synchronous virtual sessions with participants expected to complete work individually during the other weeks. Participants must have a 4 year college degree in order to take the class, but this opportunity is open to anyone in the district that meets that requirement regardless of position. Please complete the survey to indicate your interest in enrolling in one of these courses. The survey will close at 4 pm on Friday, 1/13, and responses will be used to determine what courses will be offered this spring.
