We are thrilled to participate in Providence Performing Arts Center's annual Ocean State Star Awards. This contest recognizes, honors, and encourages excellence in all aspects of musical theatre performance and production among high schools in and near Rhode Island. Additionally, this program may determine if our students qualify for the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (The Jimmy Awards). Professionals in the performing arts attend our spring musical and provide detailed feedback as well as potential nominations, awards, and scholarships depending on our performance.
This program celebrates high school musicals, students, and teachers by formally recognizing the extraordinary achievements of local high school productions. Students also gain access to exclusive workshop hosted by PPAC throughout the year. Participating seniors may also be eligible for scholarships. Visit the website below for more information or to support our students by buying tickets to attend the annual award ceremony.
We are planning to participate in the Massachusetts Thespian Festival. This competition takes place in Somerville, MA every February. Students will have the option to attend educational workshops, participate in a Thespy master class, or perform a one-act show.
Depending on what events students participate in, they may earn awards, scholarships, or qualifications for the International Thespy Awards. This event is hosted by Massachusetts Thepsians whose mission is to provide collaborative spaces for a diverse community to connect and develop an inclusive theatrical craft and grow a more engaged, creative, and empathetic world.
