About me:
I was raised in Wareham, MA by two public school teachers. For as long as I can remember I had always wanted to become a teacher; I sometimes call teaching the 'family business'. After graduating from Wareham High School, I went on to attend the University of Maine, Orono. I graduated from the College of Education at UMaine with a B.S. in Secondary Education with a concentration in social science, and minors in history and political science. After completing a long term substitute position at Plymouth South Middle School as a 6th grade Math and Science teacher, I was hired at NHS in the winter of 2011 and have called it my home ever since. While teaching at NHS I received my Masters in the Art of Teaching History from UMass Dartmouth. Working for the Town of Norton has truly enriched my life. I have been able to carry out my dream of becoming a history teacher, I have coached and I have advised students. At Norton High School I met my husband, a Math teacher, and we have two children.
Outside of school I love to hang out with my family, cook, read and ski. I have been skiing for over 25 years !! Before I was employed as a teacher I spent everyday of an entire winter skiing with my Father and 85 year old Godfather. I love to take photos of my family, and spend time playing with my children. My favorite television program is Jeopardy and my favorite movie is Jaws!
