This is my 10th year teaching English and second year advising The Lancer Lowdown! I was a journalism major at the University of New Hampshire for two years before switching into secondary education and was a staff writer on The New Hampshire. I also have taught the journalism elective in past years.

Emma Lehan, Prez, Senior writer/editor

Hi, my name is Emma Lehan and I am a senior here at NHS. I am a gymnast at Elite Gymnastics Academy. This is my second year in the Newspaper club and I am so excited to be a Senior writer and editor! I am hoping to study biology in college next year and I am so excited for this year!

Ryley O'Rourke, Co- Prez, Senior Writer/Editor

Hi! I am a Senior at NHS and this is my second year in Newspaper Club! I am a dancer and love to cook! My favorite subjects in school are English and math. I am currently president of the National English Honor Society. I hope to study elementary education in college one day and am excited for what this year brings!

Cheyenne Gomes-Pierre

Hello! I'm a junior, and this is my second year in Newspaper Club. I am learning how to fence, and I love to learn about software and coding. I like to volunteer at Norton's Public Library at least twice a month. I also enjoy reading; some recent books I've read are Everything Isn't Terrible, The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store, and If Beale Street Could Talk.

Meg Smith, Staff Writer

Hi, I'm a sophomore, and it's my first year in the newspaper club. I love writing and volleyball! My favorite book is The Scarlet Pimpernel, and subjects I enjoy include English and science!

Alison Hwang

I'm a junior in my first year at the Lancer Lowdown. My favorite subject is English, but History comes to a close second. I spend a lot of my free time reading and writing, and I hope to major in English in college. Otherwise, I'm watching movies or playing volleyball.

Hi! I'm a freshman and this is my first year in the newspaper club. My favorite subject is probably history, but I also like English and science. I really like writing and hanging out with my friends.
