To create a squish paint painting you will need to following:
Paper
Plastic wrap
paint
You then make blobs of paint on your paper, in the colors of your choice, don't go too close to the edge of the paper. Then tear a piece of plastic wrap a little larger than your paper, place on top. Then have fun squishing paint around, lift off, and viola! Fun paint creation!
The girls had a lot of fun with this sidewalk puffy paint, and it was pretty easy to make!
1c water
1c flour
1/2c shaving cream
food coloring
I then mixed separate colors in ziploc bags, cut the corners and put into plastic bottles
This art project is a great excuse to get outside! To complete this project, it will need to be a sunny day. You will need some paper to draw on, some fun toys or action figures and something to draw with. This is a great way to enjoy some sunshine, fresh air and be creative at the same time!
This was a fun way to take something that you would normally recycle, and turn it into something fun! A great rainy day activity. Olive and I just used markers, crayons and color pencils to decorate, but you could use lots of materials (paint, other paper, scissors to change the shape, google eyes, pipe cleaners). Possibilities are endless!
To create bubble prints you will need the following:
Thicker paper
Cup of water, with a little dish soap
Straw
Food coloring of choice
Use the straw to blow bubbles into the cup of colored, bubble water. Have the bubbles overflow the cup, then place the paper on top of the bubble. Lift off, you may have to pop some of the bubbles.
*This is a very messy project. Great for outside, or just be sure to put some towels down underneath.
I saw this art project and thought that I would give it a try with Olive and Iris. All you need is some action figures and a way to take a photo (camera or phone). The girls had so much fun setting up their Frozen figures around the yard.
There are lots of fun ways to dye easter eggs. For this method you need shaving cream (or whipped cream) and some food coloring. You mix the food coloring that you choose into the shaving cream. Then put the hard boiled eggs into the colorful shaving cream. Let the eggs sit for about a half hour, then wipe clean.
*Note: hands will probably get a little stained with this process!
