Hello Fourth/Fifth Grade Intervention Students!

My name is Mrs. Jennifer Mahr and I am excited to be your Intervention ELA teacher this year. I am a wife and proud mom! I married my high school sweetheart and we have two, young, adult children, Rachael and Nick. I have two indoor cats named Jay and Josie. Some of my other passions besides teaching include listening to music , reading books, and watching college football. I believe that learning can be done in a fun and engaging way and that building relationships comes first. I hope we already have some things in common.

I graduated from Kent State University in 1992 and 1994. This is beginning my 27th year teaching , and I've proudly been employed at Northwestern Schools since 1996. I am certified K-12 Intervention, and most of my teaching experience has centered around working with students in Grade 4 Intervention.

I hope you're excited about this school year, because I cannot wait to see you learn new concepts and leave the school year with many newly acquired skills. Please scroll through the pictures to get to know me a little better. Please share photos and great news with me throughout the year about your family and life's experiences. Even though, we may be completing school full time remote or partial brick and mortar alongside remote learning, know that we are in this together.
