Northwest Dance Center LLC Payment policies:
Northwest Dance Center LLC accepts credit and/or debit cards online. Parents may pay with Check, Cash, or Card at the studio location. A card reader will be available upon request at the studio for card payments.
Registration Fees:
Registration Fees are due at time of registration. Registration Fees are non-refundable. Registration Fees are a per student fee. Students may enroll in multiple classes without change to their registration fee. 1st month Tuition will be due at the first day of classes. Example: September Tuition due at first day of classes.

Tuition:
NEW POLICY UPDATE- JUNE 13th, 2025
Auto Pay/E-Payments. All Tuition will be pulled from the card we have on file on the 7th of each month.
Exception: Email Northwest Dance Center before the 6th of the month to request a different payment option for the month in question. Tuition may still be paid in studio with Cash, Checks or Card until the 7th of the month.
Late Fee: Declined cards are subject to an automatic $10.00 late fee. For 1st time declined cards, family will be contacted and will have 2 days to update their credit card information & pay the amount due. For a that Card declines 2 months in a row or more, a $15.00 late fee will be added for each month the card on file declines.
Discounts:
Private/Semi Private Lessons are not eligible for any Multi Class discounts.
Summer Classes & Camps will be a one time fee. Price of class or camp will be indicated by Northwest Dance Center LLC. Full amount will be due at the first day of Class or Camp.
Lessons are not pro-rated for Halloween, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Spring Break, Memorial Day, and June classes. As December and June are both shorter months for classes, the students will have a performance instead. Rather than charging a production fee, the normal cost of classes goes towards the cost of putting on the Christmas Show and Spring Recital.
Additional Fees & Policies:
Costume Fees. Costumes are a one time payment during the dance Term: Fall 2024/Spring 2025. The costume will be for Northwest Dance Center LLC's Spring Dance Recital. Costume fee is $80.00 and is due by December 10th, 2025. Costume Fee is automatically added to December Tuition amount unless it is paid in advance. No Costume Fee for Summer Classes, Camps, and Adult Drop in classes.
Additional Fees/Payments: If a family has outstanding payments that are 60 days past due, Northwest Dance Center LLC will add an additional $5.00 late fee per outstanding transaction. Northwest Dance Center LLC will send out email notices prior to charging outstanding payments the late fee, with 14 days for families to pay outstanding tuition and/or other fees before the late fees go into effect.
Family accounts must be at a 0.00 balance for students to participate in Northwest Dance Center LLC's Spring Dance Recital.
Account must be up at a 0.00 balance to register for the new dance school year. Exception: Enrolled in a summer lesson and the balance is not due.
Late Fees:
If a Family has outstanding Payments that are 60 Days past Due, Northwest Dance Center LLC will add an additional $5.00 late Fee Per Outstanding Transaction. Northwest Dance Center LLC will send out email notices prior to charging outstanding payments with a 2 week window for families to pay outstanding Tuition and Fees before the additional late fees go into effect.
Family accounts must be up to Date for students to participate in Northwest Dance Center LLC’s Spring Dance Recital.
Inclement Weather Policy:
In the event of inclement weather, power outages, fires, etc…. class will be cancelled. The first missed class is NOT made up. Any additional lessons missed will have a scheduled make-up day.
If the weather for class is looking as though it will be snowy or icy, we will err on the side of caution. Sometimes, if most people will be able to make it to class, we will decide to go ahead with classes. If you are concerned about getting to class safely, please use your own best judgement on whether to bring your child to class.
Dress Code:
The dress code will vary based off of teacher preferences/style of dance class taken. Please note that you may purchase other brands of dance shoes than those listed. It is highly recommended to go to a dance wear shoppe (for example: The Leotard- in Portland) to try on shoes rather than ordering online, unless the exact size is known. Dance shoes tend to vary in size based on brand.
Tap:
Clothing: Tank Style Leotard (any color), Black Shorts & Tan Tights OR T-Shirt/Tank Top (any color) & Black Leggings/Yoga Pants
Shoes: Recommended Brands: Capezio, Bloch, Dance Now & SoDanca. Color: Black. Style: Mary Jane or Lace Up. *Intermediate/Advanced Tap Classes will have a specific tap shoe specified by the teacher.
Hair: Ponytail or Bun. Short hair must be pinned back from face.
Additional Notes: NO baggy sweatpants are allowed for Tap. Teacher also reserves the right to require a dancer to purchase new tap shoes if the dancer comes to class with a shoe that may damage the dance floor. Please do NOT purchase tap shoes from Target or regular shoe stores.
Ballet/Lyrical:
Clothing: Tank Style Leotard (any color), Pink Ballet Tights, Black wrap around Ballet Skirt (optional)
Shoes: Recommended Brand: Capezio. Style: Ballet Slippers. Split Sole for older students. Color: Pink
Hair: Ballet Bun
Additional Notes: NO baggy sweatpants, or leggings are allowed for Ballet. Ballet Dancers are required to wear a leotard and pink tights, and have their hair in a bun for class each week.
Acro:
Clothing: Tank Style Leotard (any color), Tan Tights, Dance Shorts (any color)
Shoes: Slip on Jazz Shoe. Color: Black. Recommended Brands: Capezio or Bloch.
Hair: Ponytail or Bun. Short hair must be pinned back from face.
Hip Hop/Jazz:
Clothing: Clothing: Tank Style Leotard (any color), Black Shorts & Tan Tights OR T-Shirt/Tank Top (any color), Black Leggings/Black Yoga Pants/Black Sweatpants.
Shoes: Slip on Jazz Shoe. Color: Black. Recommended Brands: Capezio or Bloch.

Creative Movement:
Clothing: Tank Style Leotard (any color), Tutu or Skirt (any color, optional), Pink Ballet Tights

Tap & Ballet Combo Class:
Clothing: Tank Style Leotard (any color), Tutu or Skirt (any color, optional), Pink Ballet Tights
