Fifth Grade

Students in fifth grade will continue to improve their speed and accuracy in keyboarding.  They will demonstrate proper etiquette, behavior, and body position when using computers.   Our students will create, edit, and do more advanced formatting in word-processing documents. They will create a multi-slide PowerPoint presentation and also get used to Google Drive, Google Slides and Docs.  We will discuss ethical computer use.  Students will also begin to build their coding and algorithm skills.  Fifth grade students will use google classroom to organize their assignments and online resources.  All students will attend a 40 class in the computer lab once a week.  Chrome books will also  be used in the classroom to support the curriculum.
