Many previous students have had a lasting impact on my life, probably larger than the one I've had on theirs. Some of those select students are:
Peter Archer: for coming to my office hours to challenge me in chess and being the original founder of the NSCC Chess Club
Matthew Wilder: for being my first (and only) student to present their original research at a conference under my guidance
Peter Nugent: for re-inspiring me to talk to students about the difficult obstacles in life everyone has to overcome
Kathi Allphin: your curiosity, passion, and motivation inspired me to always be better
Ryan Duggan: for being my first student published in a journal
Melissa Hendrick: for the humbling experience of teaching a student who already had a stronger educational background than I had
Josh Sheridan: for reviving the NSCC chess club and taking full ownership/leadership of it
