Press Release - April 10, 2025

The North Rockland high school robotics team, uNReal, spent this past weekend at The Armory for the FIRST Robotics Competition New York City Regional. FIRST’s regional events are always high energy, action-packed weekends where teams from across the globe are welcome to compete in the game designed for the season. This year, the game  REEFSCAPE required high schoolers to design a robot that could place pipes on pegs, shoot balls into goals or baskets, and hang from a cage. 

uNReal pushed through every qualification match, with their effort landing them a spot in Playoffs. After being selected by their alliance (a group composed of 3 teams), the group fought their way to Semifinals before being eliminated. Even after their defeat, uNReal had an unforgettable experience filled with many victories, lots of friendship, and of course, engineering and STEM!
