North Rockland High School Counseling Department: Preparing Every Student for College, Career, and Life
At North Rockland High School, our Guidance Department is dedicated to helping every student thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally—from the first day of 9th grade through graduation. Our mission is to ensure all students are prepared for success in college, careers, and beyond.
We provide a blend of structured programs and personalized support to help students discover their strengths, set meaningful goals, and confidently navigate the challenges of high school. Through a strong, ongoing relationship with their school counselor, students receive:
Academic advising and course planning
Support in building healthy relationships
Guidance in choosing extracurriculars that align with their interests
College and career planning at every stage
Tools to manage stress and build resilience
Our work reflects the mission of the North Rockland Central School District: to educate and inspire every student, nurture their dreams, and empower them to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and active contributors to a diverse and ever-changing world.
