• The minimum requirement for membership in Mu Alpha Theta is:

• A 3.5 cumulative math GPA for students who have completed Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, and enrolled in Precalculus

OR

• A 3.5 cumulative math GPA for students who have completed Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus

AND

• Sign up for One 4th quarter math lab tutoring session, completed 1 fundraising hour, and pay $25 membership fee  (includes a membership certificate, membership card, and graduation cord)

• Once inducted, members will be expected to complete the following service requirements by the end of April:

1.   Three (3) tutoring sessions at the NRHS Math Lab 

AND participation in Two or more of the following activities:

2.   Development of the Math Department Newsletter

3.   Pi Day Activities 

4.   Fundraising for Math Department Awards

5.   Additional tutoring sessions at the NRHS Math Lab

Failure to complete required service will result in removal from the society

• Officers (President, Vice President and Secretary )must also be enrolled in AP Calculus BC, AP Calculus AB, Statistics RCC or Calculus RCC and maintain a minimum of a B average.
