TEST RETAKE POLICY :
You are limited to ONE retake per quarter. (Keep in mind that you will have between 4-6 tests each quarter) Retakes should be scheduled within two weeks of the day I hand back the graded test. You only qualify for a retake if your original test grade is at least a 50% and below an 85%. If you are ever caught cheating on a test throughout the year, your retake privilege will be revoked.
ATTENDANCE POLICY :
For a full year course, 20 absences or more will be subject to denial of credit. (NRCSD policy) When absent, submit a note to the attendance office if it is an excusable absence.
TARDINESS POLICY:
Three tardies = 1 absence. (NRHS Policy)
1 tardy = +1 strike (3 STRIKE POLICY; see bottom of this column)
Being late to class will lead to detention, or a written disciplinary referral if the offense is repeated.
Tardiness of 15 minutes or more is considered cutting class and violates the building code of conduct. ( = +3 strikes)
PHONE POLICY :
Phones are not to be used during class.
Phone Use during class without prior permission = + 1 strike.
25-26 update: Based on NY State Law, any phone seen outside of a Yondr Pouch will result in a disciplinary referral and will be reported to an AP.
3 STRIKE POLICY :
3 strikes = lunch detention w/ Ms. Reynolds
4+ strikes = disciplinary referral + call home
Strikes are tracked using a sign-in sheet, kept in the classroom. (Clean slate each semester start date.)
Note: any behavior infraction, or break in code of conduct, may result in +1 strike.
Also note: the "3 STRIKE POLICY" is a Ms. Reynolds policy, not an official NRHS policy.

Ti84 calculator skills & how to do the same things in the Desmos graphing calculator
⬇ ⬇ ⬇
Desmos (website, linked above)
Below, you'll see a doc that will help you learn the basics to Desmos if you've never used it! Feel free to try it out on your own time.
"Calculate 84" app (nearly identical to the Ti84)
For this course, you can choose which calculator you prefer. I will mostly be teaching using the Ti-84 but am happy to help you out with desmos. All I ask is that you use the desmos TEST MODE instead of the browser version so I know you're staying focused during my lessons.
