Welcome to Stony Point Elementary School! My role as your child's school counselor is to support them in their development as both a student and a human being.
At SPES we emphasize our HEART values which guide how we learn and treat one another every day: Honesty, Empathy, Attitude, Respect, and Teamwork. These values help create a positive and supportive environment where all students can grow.
I am excited to get to know your child. If additional support is needed, there are a variety of small group seminars that offer explicit instruction and practice in both academic and social emotional skills. I am also available as a resource to families when a child's needs extend outside of the school environment.
Please feel free to contact me with any concerns regarding your child's academic or personal development, or with questions about the counseling program. I look forward to working together to make your child's experience at SPES a great one.
A new school year is typically filled with excitement and nervousness. It's important to remember that all children will not respond in the same manner and sometimes it is hard to predict how a child might feel until they are actually in the situation.
