The Viking Innovations students partnered with our PTO for a craft show held at our elementary school. As a group, Viking Innovations created new product lines including tumblers, mugs, hats, beanies, patches, and laser-cut items. Students were introduced to some new programming to work on these product lines. They were pushed outside of their comfort zones and trusted the ideation and design process with experimentation.
Students were in charge of designing and setting up a 10 x 20 space. Students volunteered their own time on Saturday, running the Viking Innovation's space. They made connections with other local entrepreneurs and were invited to participate in other shows in the future.
We donated two gift baskets for a special auction to help one of our elementary students who was diagnosed with cancer. At the conclusion of the 4-hour craft show $1,000 was donated to the family.
