Class Dojo will be used as a positive behavior tracker. Positive behaviors can earn your child prizes. I highly recommend that you sign up to keep track of the great things your child is doing at school. I will be adding pictures and projects that your child has done to their portfolio.

In the first few days of school, the classroom rules will be discussed in order to help create a classroom community that fosters respect for all.

  • Show Self-Control - Monitoring themselves

  • Take Responsibility - Telling the truth, taking care of materials, turning in assignments on time

  • Attitude - Are they staying positive or acting in a negative way

  • Respect Others - How they act toward others in the building

If a student breaks a rule:

  • They will flip a card. The color of their card will be recorded each day and the behavior calendar will need to be signed daily. On the calendar, I will write the reason for the infraction. Each day the cards will reset.

    • Green-Great Behavior!

    • Yellow- 1 infraction

    • Orange- 2 infractions

    • Blue- 3 infractions

    • Red- 4 infractions- a parent contact is necessary

  • Most infractions will result in loss of free time. Repeated infractions may warrant a principal visit, call home, or demerit.
