The purpose of the club is to give members opportunities to become better anglers and to identify with other anglers that they might not know at school. 

Anglers have the opportunity to learn about basic fishing terminology, how to identify different fish species, various fishing techniques, different types of bait, and much more centered around the world of fishing for the many species Northern Michigan has to offer at monthly meetings. 

Outside of the classroom, anglers have the opportunity to attend quarterly events and to fish in monthly club tournaments.
