On this site you will be able to find 2nd grade information for Mr. Bowen's classroom for the 2023-2024 school year.  Please continue to check this website regularly as you will be able to find copies of weekly newsletters, spelling lists, and other educational website information on a variety of subjects that will be used throughout the year.  

A little information about myself.  I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1995 with a BA in Elementary Education and Special Education.  I have taught in the North-Linn Community School District for 28 years.  My first 14 years were in the area of special education helping students from TK to 5th grade.  In the fall of 2010, I received the opportunity to move to a 2nd grade classroom.  I have truly enjoyed the change of pace in second grade.

I have lived in Coggon since 1998.  My wife Jennifer and I have two daughters, one who is in college, and one that is in high school at North Linn.  When I am not at school my other interests are bike riding, photography, and model railroading.
