Mrs Hutton and Mrs Meagher were extremely excited to pull out the winning bookmarks from for prize draw boxes this term.

Well done to our inspired readers from across the school as they have been completing their bookmarks and dropping them in the boxes. The Grand Draw took place today, with three winners announced from each year group. The winners can be seen below and it’s clear that they are delighted - each receiving a book token to spend on more books now they are hooked into reading!

We are starting to have children complete their first bookmark, receiving a stamp each time they read one of the books from the list.

In the summer term, we will be putting a ‘snazzy’ box by the Tree Bookcase so children can start putting completed bookmarks in there. Just before February half term we will then do the prize draw to see which aspiring readers win a reading related prize! Lock down and the holidays are a great opportunity to get some more books read in readiness to collect stamps when your return.
