Meet Mrs. Lofy
Welcome! I am starting my third year at North Lake School and am excited to be a Laker! North Lake School is a special place to be and it is truly a delight working with the students, families, and staff here.
Background: I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology & Family Studies from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN as well as my Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Marquette University. I previously worked for several school districts both as a Speech Language Pathologist and as a special education assistant. I have more than 15 years of experience working in special education. My passion is helping students achieve their greatest potential and I try to make learning fun while we work toward this goal!
Personal: I am married and have two daughters. Kaia (22) graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College this past May and is working as a nurse in the NICU at Children's Hospital. Mari (19) is a sophomore at Ball State University and is majoring in media design. Our family has three rescue dogs named Bruno, Oats and Molly as well as a pet rabbit we adopted from HAWS named Cake Pop. We live in Lake Country and enjoy taking advantage of all the beautiful lakes by paddle boarding, boating and fishing. In addition to spending time out on the lakes, I enjoy reading, playing pickleball, volunteering at HAWS and visiting Amish bakeries throughout the state.
