I am so excited to begin my 23rd year in education here at North Lake School 5th and 6th Grade Literacy. Previous to teaching at North Lake, I taught in Milwaukee for almost 10 years. I have had the opportunity to teach in both general education and special education classrooms. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a BS in Elementary Education Grades 1-8. After teaching for a year, I returned to school at Cardinal Stritch University and earned my MA in Education. When I first began teaching here at North Lake, I went through the CESA certification process and earned my Cross-Categorical Special Education license as well.
My husband, Jake, and I moved to the Lake Country area about 16 years ago and can't believe we are so lucky to be able to call it home. My daughter, Myla (16), is a sophomore at Arrowhead this year. When she is not at school, you can find her training her next level gymnastics skills. My son, Levi (12), is in 6th grade here at North Lake. He is excited to play Chiefs tackle football in the fall and loves coding. When he grows up, he wants to be a professional coder.
