In the Asian Context

Why I Started This Whole Thing? (backstory)
I want to tell you a little bit about why I started this whole thing.
Having worked as an investment and commercial banker, and international management professional, I have lived and worked in 6 Asian countries, and travelled extensively around the world for the last 3 decades.
During that times, I have observed firsthand the dramatic growth and changes in Asia. As you know, Japan was the first leader of the postwar Asian growth miracle. Later, People started talking about Asian “Tiger” [Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan] And then China.
Guess what, every place I traveled since then, local people asked me if I am from China and said “Nihao” to me. Asia has 49 countries. OMG, Do you think every Asian is from China?
The story we became familiar with Asia over the last 20 or 30 years was Asian exporters connecting with those parts of the rich world, North America, and Europe. What we’re now going to see is a different and more complicated story in which Asia begins to connect much more with the rest of world in many different ways, being a partner, a lender, an investor, a buyer, and a joint venture partner, etc.
Also, I realized I came across more and more people from the other part of world, who started asking me about Asia, Asian investors and how to work with Asian business partners.
So, I thought about starting two podcasts where I can help to bridge the gap and introduce entrepreneurs on the other part of world to Asian audience, and Asian investors, or vice versa.
