I fell in love with basketball from the moment I started playing . I currently play for Coach Dave Taylor who owns, operates and coaches DTX Basketball. I have been with DTX since the fall of 2023 and love this program. He inspires me to work hard every day towards achieving my goals. I have developed a superior basketball IQ and learned the basic fundamentals through him.
My goal is to be able to play basketball at a college level. I believe I would be a great candidate because I am enthusiastic and eager to do what it takes to succeed. I am an aggressive defense and rebound player. I work towards continuing to learn and improve my skills. I have always maintained a great respect for each of my coaches, team mates and leaders I have encountered through my years playing. I look to nurture and foster great relationships with whomever I work with. I am a positive person and believe we should have fun doing what we love! I love to cheer on my teammates loudly and always encourage them to be the best they can be for our team.
I began my freshman year of high school playing JV and varsity for Sacred Heart Academy in Hamden, CT. Our varsity team went on to win the state championship during that 2021 to 2022 season. It was so exciting being a part of the team during that time.
I transferred to North Haven High School my Sophomore year. I played varsity for the North Haven basketball team and felt welcome the moment I stepped on the court. We had a great 17-6 season. I learned that although change can be scary it is worth it in the end.
I played for I-dream AAU basketball during the spring of my sophomore year. We traveled to various Eybl Nike tournaments which challenged me to play against players from outside of New England.
I joined DTX AAU basketball in the fall of my junior year to sharpen my skills prior to my high school basketball season. I was challenged by playing with the girl's and the boy's DTX basketball teams. The boy's team added an additional level of competition on the court.
During the fall of my junior year I was recognized for sportsmanship from my high school. I was one of only 5 female student-athletes chosen from my high school to attend the CIAC Sportsmanship Conference. This conference honored students from high schools throughout Connecticut.
I began my junior year basketball season strong however, mid season I fractured my hand during a game and missed the 2nd half of my season. I took this opportunity to work towards recovery and focus on my team . I attended every practice and cheered them on at every game. I was honored to complete my junior year being named Varsity Captain of the girl's basketball team. I look forward to being a leader and mentor to my fellow teammates during the upcoming 2024-2025 season.
