Parent Training Workshops
Parent Training Workshops
The primary mission of Northgate's Parents as Allies in Making is to provide parent training workshops to promote family engagement in the school's makerspace. By participating in these workshops, families learn the principles of making, how to coach children as they are going through the engineering and design process, and the operational capabilities of the makerspace. These parent coaches can then be called upon to come into the makerspace and work side-by-side with teachers and students. Below you can find more information about the three parent workshops we offer.
