Welcome to the NCRT Homepage!
Northern Cass Robotics Team (NCRT) is open to learners in grades 7-12. Students must apply to join the team.
In 2022, NCRT will participate in the BEST Robotics Classic competition in the Jackrabbit BEST hub based in Brookings, SD, at South Dakota State University. This year's game is Made 2 Order. The competition includes designing and building a robot that can accomplish specific tasks within a pre-determined course, but the Robotics team is more than that. Team elements include robot design, engineering notebook, marketing display and interview, website, and more.
Notable season dates below. Dates and times are tentative as the season evolves. Please see the schedule page for team meeting times. Accommodations will be made if meeting conditions change due to Covid-19.
The team will meet as a large group and small groups throughout the season including a few Saturdays as we are able. Distancing and masking are recommended whenever possible.

The 2022 team competed in Made 2 Order in the Jackrabbit BEST hub in October 22, taking first in the BEST Award and first in Robot Performance. We were also awarded the Founders Award.
The team advanced to the Denver Regional Championship at the Colorado School of Mines on December 3-4, 2022 with all events held in person for the first time since 2019.
