A “Works Cited” is an alphabetical list of sources you used to get information and/or images on a specific topic. These sources may be books, databases, websites, or other.
Why Cite?
To avoid plagiarism, you must give credit where credit is due: When using works of others, make sure to give the original author credit by including the source in your works cited page.
