About Me
I am a mom of two boys, Austin and Mason, and a little girl, Avery. I have always wanted to be a teacher, so I have my dream job. When I am not in the classroom or grading papers, I am frequently hanging out with my little ones; watching sports - specifically baseball or football, cheering for my Cubs or Bears, respectively; reading good books; or spending time with my family and friends who mean so much to me. I also love traveling. Road trips are a great way to see all the beautiful sights this country has to offer and to learn through new experiences you can’t get at home!
This is my eleventh year teaching sixth-grade language arts at Northbrook Junior High (my eighth year teaching Advanced LA).
Before becoming a teacher, I was a journalist at the Daily Herald. I worked on the business desk both writing and editing stories. I love to write!
