Standards Based Learning

Students are graded on the development of skills and knowledge, what they know and can do, rather than their completion of assignments. They are provided multiple opportunities to meet the standards and are offered a variety of ways to demonstrate their learning.

Although students are assigned a standards based score to assess their mastery toward standards, true success can be found throughout the learning process. Blending a social and academic curriculum will help our learners understand the different forms of success. Determination, risk taking, and failure help us all reach and extend beyond our potential. My ultimate goal for our kids is to develop a sense of joy in building positive, life-long learning attitudes and habits.

Report Cards will be issued in November, March & June. Parent Conferences will be scheduled in November & March, however conferences can be scheduled at any point throughout the school year if you are concerned with your child's academic, social, or behavioral progress.
