NORTH BERGEN ART DEPARTMENT
The Art program is designed to challenge the creative, expressive, and intellectual potential of each student. The opportunities provided help students become more sensitive to aesthetic values and become discriminating in the assessment of their visual environment. Through hands-on experiences in a problem-solving framework, students not only find an avenue to express personal feelings, moods, and aspirations but also to explore personal aptitudes and potential in visual expression and communication. The importance of individuality is stressed in conjunction with pride in one’s work and respect for the efforts of others.
ABOUT THE ART PROGRAM
The Art program is designed to assist all students. Through course work a student’s awareness of art career directions is guided and stimulated toward further art education; for other students, the avocational interest in art as a personal lifestyle choice is encouraged.
