Summer Reading...YAY!!
NORTH ANDOVER MIDDLE SCHOOL
2021 SUMMER READING
GRADE 7
Dear 7th grader,
This summer I want you to read at least three books. I hope you read many books, but I’ll be happy if you read three! We have put together a list of suggested books and authors (see below).
Once you have finished reading a book, please log into your team’s Google Classroom (classroom.google.com) with your school Google login information. Click on “Share with your class”. Type in the title and author of your book. Write one sentence telling whether you would recommend the book to your classmates and why or why not.
If you did not join the Google Classroom for your team on move up day, you can still join!! Just log into Google Classroom with your school Google login and click on the + (plus) button next to your name in the upper right corner. Enter the code for your team 7A:

You are now a member of the class. Welcome!
If you prefer to keep track of books read on paper, here is a Book Log you can print out and use.
If you need suggestions for books you may like, you can:
check out the list on this notice (also posted on Google Classroom)
check Google Classroom to see what your classmates are reading
go to the NAMS website, click on “NAMS Library” and then “Readers’ Advisory” in the columns on the left. Here you will find links to several sites with many book lists. Be advised, some sites have included high school level titles in addition to middle school level.
If you are interested in reading books on a mobile device, check out the NAMS 24/7/365 Virtual Library! The Library’s collection provides free access to popular fiction and nonfiction eBooks and digital audiobooks, including a number of suggested books and authors from the NAMS Summer Reading lists. These books can be borrowed and read on a variety of mobile devices. More information about this program is available on the NAMS Library’s eBooks and Digital Audiobooks webpage (http://goo.gl/nVymmu).
We hope your summer is enjoyable and that you read many engaging books. See you in September!
Sincerely,
Your 7th Grade LA Teacher, Mrs. Leonardis
