April 3, 2020
Dear North Andover Community,
We thank you for your patience as we have prepared for the next phase of remote learning during this school closure that now extends through May 4, 2020. Our teachers and administrators have been working hard and will be ready to begin with more structured learning opportunities beginning on April 6, 2020.
Principals have shared out specific remote learning information for North Andover High School, North Andover Middle School, and our six elementary schools which are also posted on the new Remote Learning portion of this site. We appreciate your support while we transition to this new educational experience.
During these unprecedented times it’s important to understand that we are not attempting to fully replicate a school day or the entire school experience. We are striving to provide opportunities for students to continue to grow, learn, and develop in a structured environment, while being sensitive to their social and emotional needs. Please continue to check our website for updates at northandoverpublicschools.com.
Respectfully,
Dr. Gregg T. Gilligan, Superintendent
From April 6 - May 4, North Andover Public Schools will be closed based on state guidance. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) recommended that schools transition from learning activities to remote learning opportunities that are more robust and provide more structure for our students. The Remote Learning portion of this website provides links to the NAPS Remote Learning plans and resources for students and their families.
From March 16 - April 6, North Andover Public Schools were closed based on state guidance. These non-school days were considered a three-week period of school closure and did not count toward time-on-learning. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) encouraged schools to provide students with recommendations for student learning activities which can be found in the Supplementary Learning Activities portion of this website.
During this school closure, we will offer free meals to kids/teens, senior citizens and other residents.
