Community Resources and Behavioral Health Services:

Families should not reach out to school providers (Teachers, Counselors, Principals, etc.) if your child is experiencing a mental or physical health crisis. Below are the numbers and websites for local resources should you experience a crisis situation.

911 is a resource for emergency situations 24/7

Crisis Hotline, Clinical & Support Options (413) 586-5555 is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week providing behavioral health assessment, intervention and stabilization for youth, families and adults.

Clinical & Support Options (413) 582-0471), River Valley Counseling (413) 540-1234, Gándara Center (413) 846-0445, ServiceNet (413-387-1105), Center for Community Development 1-844-CHD-HELP, are providing telehealth therapy for new and existing clients. Northampton Area Pediatrics (413) 584-8700 provides behavioral health services as well.

Mass 2-1-1 (always a confidential call) is available and can connect callers with information about critical health and human services available in the community. It serves as a resource for finding government benefits and services, nonprofit organizations, support groups, volunteer opportunities, donation programs, and other local resources.

Northampton Public Schools Food Program

Northampton Public Schools will be providing meals to school-aged children 18 or younger. You do not need to be a student from the Northampton public school district to participate.

We will provide a bagged lunch along with a bagged breakfast according to the following schedule:

● Tuesday: Two lunches and two breakfasts

● Thursday: Three lunches and three breakfasts

Meals will be available at the following sites, from 11-12pm and distributed from yellow

school buses:

● Hampshire Heights

● Florence Heights

● Meadowbrook Apartments

● 236 Pleasant Street

Meals are also available at Smith Vocational from 11-1 Mondays and Wednesdays at a drive-through.
