Welcome to 4th Grade with
Hello and welcome to fourth grade at Bradford Woods Elementary School! I am thrilled to be starting my 22nd year of teaching alongside the fabulous teachers and staff at BWE. This is my first year at BWE and I have the opportunity to grow children in reading and writing, as well as social studies with a focus on US geography.
Outside of school, you would likely find my husband and I at a baseball field-for sons, Vincenzo (14) or Luca (10) or at PNC Park watching the Pirates. Our travel excursions usually focus around baseball as well. We look for MLB or minor league games to attend. We keep a map of all the stadiums we have been to thus far. Our favorite place to visit and stay is Williamsport, PA to watch the Little League World Series games. I have been going to those games since I was a little girl.
I knew I wanted to be a teacher since the second grade with Mrs. LaShear-Singer. Since then, I have been either attending school or teaching at a school, including Buffalo State College and Slippery Rock University. My teaching experiences include Charlotte, North Carolina and closer to home at Pine-Richland and Chartiers-Valley School Districts.
Bradford Woods Elementary is someplace special. I am thankful and blessed to be doing what I love with such devoted staff, families, and children. I am looking forward to a spectacular school year.
And as I have already learned, "It's a great day to be a tiger!"
