Mrs. O'Connor

You have been my friend. That in itself is a tremendous thing.

~E.B. White, Charlotte's Web

I am excited to begin my third year of teaching in the North Allegheny School District as part of the MTSS team at Marshall Elementary. After obtaining my B.S. in Elementary Education from Penn State, I worked as a classroom teacher for several years in three school districts in PA. I obtained my M.Ed. in Instruction and Learning from the University of Pittsburgh and then continued as a reading coach in the Shaler Area School District for two years before taking some time off to stay home with my kids. Upon returning to the education field, I worked as the ESAP teacher at both Bradford Woods Elementary and Marshall Elementary for one year before transitioning to an MTSS Interventionist at MES. My certifications are Elementary Education K-6 and Reading Specialist K-12.

I reside in Hampton Township with my husband, our two children (12 yrs. & 10 yrs.), and our cat, Patches. Like many parents of school-age kids, I spend most of my time helping with homework and getting my kids to practices, playdates, and other school-related activities. I love teaching and am eager to begin the journey into a new school year!
