The mission of the University library is to make available and deliver information resources in all formats to the members of the academic community. It ensures the preservation of knowledge through building collections and providing access to information sources. It aims to support all programs offered by the University with adequate resources.
The library provides adequate space and appropriate facilities to serve the needs of the readers. It adopts the a system which can provide faculty and students greater access to the collection. It is open more than sixty (60) hours per week.
The NORSU-Guihulngan Library is open six days a week for all students, faculty, and staff of the University from 7:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday - Friday, and 8:00AM-5:00AM on Saturday.
The library is open to all students, members of the faculty, staff, and other stakeholders.
Every customer entering the library must present a valid Identification Card.
Customers are required to either leave their bags, backpacks, and similar items at the designated Baggage Area or, if they choose to keep them, they must present their belongings to the personnel at the exit for inspection.
Subdued tone inside the library must be observed at all times, including gadgets.
Customers must refrain from vandalizing library properties. They are expected to handle the books and other library materials with utmost care.
Students should not mutilate and steal any library resources. Anyone found violating this rule shall be subject to disciplinary action by the Student Affairs and Services Office.
Everyone should use a trash bin for proper waste disposal.
Researchers from other institutions must have clearance from the head Librarian before they can use the library.
The library is a smoke-free area.
10. Anyone found violating the rules may forfeit all library privileges.
