The information entered in a Google Form, when submitted, goes automatically into a Google [spread]Sheet. Once in the Sheet, the owner of the form/sheet can sort, filter, format, run formulas, create graphs etc. with the data.
Google Forms will also automatically format data into charts and graphs, based on the type of question. The owner can look at the results in spreadsheet format, in a summary format, and also individual record format.
Surveys: volunteers, special events, safety polls, opinion polls, birthdays
Directory lists: staff calling tree, emergency info, club membership
Databases: inventories, science observations and experiments, immigration maps
Registration data: volunteers, workshops, afterschool events
Maps: by country, by specific location, with annotations
Dissertation research: Likert scale, open response, demographics
Quizzes: multiple choice, automatically graded, optional feedback
