Academic Challenge is a competition much like the game show Jeopardy, but competition occurs in a team format rather than individually. Academic Challenge is open to all students (Grades 9-12) from all ability levels.

The Nordonia High School Art Club is a creative space where students come together to explore and express their artistic talents. Club members work on a variety of projects throughout the year, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media. Whether working on individual pieces or team efforts, the art club encourages creativity, skill-building, and artistic growth in a fun and supportive environment.

Building an Understanding of Differences through Social Interaction is what B.U.D.S. stands for and is all about! Activities encourage social interactions, develops self-confidence, and helps foster friendship between students of all abilities.

Culture Club

A student-run organization open to all students interested in learning more about different cultures. Students connect through activities and service projects.
Drama 🎭

Nordonia Drama aims to educate students in the art of theater, providing performance and technical opportunities through its mainstage season and summer camp programming. In addition to onstage roles in its productions, Drama offers a variety of other ways to participate such as helping with costumes, hair/make-up, backstage/set, pit orchestra, and tech. www.nordoniadrama.com.
Drama - International Thespian Society

The International Thespian Society is an honor society for students who demonstrate commitment to theater and the performing arts. Students earn membership through contributions and participation in Drama activities, and new initiates are inducted each May at Drama’s end of the year awards ceremony.

Knights Caring for Knights (KC4K) 💚

A student-led organization that packs bags of food for families in need every weekend. KC4K meets every Thursday right after school.

Knight Readers Book Club 📚
Advisor-Ms. Angela Wojtecki
Our Knight Readers have a variety of interests and personalities, but what brings us together is a shared love of reading. Students are encouraged to read a book based on that month's genre and we discuss them in a comfortable and social environment. This year we will be meeting during lunch periods and will have a fun make-and-take craft to go along with our genre themes! All are welcome to join!

Math Club
Advisors- Ms. Samantha Fales
The Math Club is open to all students with an interest in mathematics. Activities include exploring math topics and activities and preparing for competing in math competitions. Our mission is to encourage and enhance a love of math and problem solving.
Mock Trial ⚖️
Advisor-Dr. Endre Szentkiralyi
Open to all students interested in courtroom drama. Students compete in a regional competition and are given a mock court case and can choose from a variety of positions to act out such as lawyer, witness, or bailiff.
National Honor Society (NHS) *
Advisors-Mrs. Melissa McClelland
Eligible candidates are formally invited to apply for selection in the National Honor Society. Candidates must be a Junior or Senior with a 3.700 or higher cumulative GPA and be enrolled in Nordonia for at least one full semester. Selection is based on the national organization’s four pillars of service, scholarship, character, and leadership. NHS students provide tutoring services and conduct community service projects throughout the school year.
Nordonia Junior City Council *
Advisor- Mrs. Heather Dean and Mayor Molnar
The club was started by current Macedonia Mayor Molnar. Students visit Macedonia City Hall once a quarter to learn about social policy and public service. They also attend and participate in City Council Meetings.
Pep Club *📣

All students are considered part of our Pep Club that brings the spirit to NHS! The Pep Club leaders involve the Senior Skin and Paint Squad and encourages positive school spirit at all events.
Red Cross Club 🩸
Advisor- Mrs. Vanessa DeBoo
Red Cross Club holds multiple blood drives and fundraisers a year as well as at least one training service. Typically, the club devotes money to current disasters, local efforts to help those in need, and club activities to keep members engaged and aware of the club's purpose.
Robotics Club 🤖

Students are challenged to design, build, and program robots and compete for awards at local and state levels.
Science Olympiad🧪
Advisor: Ms. Cindy May
Students study a variety of science related topics including challenges of an academic nature, as well as building-level activities. They compete in a series of multi-school competitions as well as the state and regional level.
Spanish Club

Open to all students enrolled in a Spanish course. Provides the opportunity to experience Spanish culture, including music, food, dance, and movies.

Student Council*

Students plan Homecoming activities, run Spirit Week, and plan fundraisers and good will events for the school and community. Must apply for membership during scheduling in February.
Writer’s Club 🖊️
Advisor- Mr. Ray Killian
Open to all students in grades 9-12, all skill levels. Meets once or twice a month and will post to announcements. Students will explore various aspects of writing. They will have an opportunity to share their own writing and evaluate other pieces. They will also try different writing exercises and writing activities. Although the focus has been more on fiction and poetry, any mode or genre can be covered. Bring your creativity and yourself (and a sample if you wish), we will supply the rest.
Yearbook
Advisor- Mr. Ray Killian
Open to all students in grades 9-12. Application process is required. Students create and market The Nordonian, the high school yearbook, using desktop design programs, digital cameras, and Photoshop.
You Belong Social Club
Advisor-Mrs. Caroline Lorimer
We're a student-led group dedicated to fostering a culture of belonging for all students across our school districts.
Throughout the school year and during a special weekend retreat, we collaborate with students from Hudson High School and Twinsburg High School. Our goal is to connect with one another, build strong relationships, and plan activities to bring back to our schools. This way, we can all work together to make sure everyone feels like they belong.
