The membership is currently 90 full members and we are always looking for new members who can commit to the Nomads regular monthly games and charity ethos.
Responsibilities of a Nomad
Membership may be awarded at the discretion of the Committee upon application supported a proposer and seconder from within the existing membership. Proposed members will play as a visitor in the monthly meetings as a guest of a committee member until membership process is completed.
After 3 games a proposed member may be inducted into the club. Members are entitled to enter all meetings and annual competitions and are required to observe the Rules and Regulations of any club or course at which they may visit.
A Member shall play in a minimum of 3 monthly meetings during the Club's playing year. In the event of a Member failing to meet this obligation and at the discretion of the Executive Committee, he may be offered Associate Membership or his membership may be terminated.
To agree to accept in their entirety and abide by the Nomads Rules of Play, Rules of Golf and the Rules of Amateur Status as laid down from time to time by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland.
Members must hold or obtain a AGU handicap to be covered by Golf Australia insurance.
Members should read the Constitution and Rules of Play of the Nomads Golf Club. A copy of both documents are available on the website www.nomadsgolfaustralia.com .
How to join Nomads
If you would like to join the club please read the membership process before submitting your application form.
Contact the Membership Officer at secretary@nomadsgolfsunshinecoast.org and he will provide you with an application form. Read the requirements for membership to see if they are suitable for you.
Complete and return the form to the membership officer via email
Membership officer tables new application at Committee meeting;
Applicant will play with a member of the Committee for their 3 pre-induction games;
Committee member completes the new member endorsement form and sends to Membership officer;
Membership officer advises applicant whether application successful or not;
If successful, we will send an invoice to Applicant for annual membership fee;
Applicant inducted at next monthly game;
Once inducted an AGU GolfLink number will be obtained for the new member (if applicable).
Cost to join
The current fees for Nomads Sunshine Coast are as follows:
A membership joining fee of $100 which will include the Nomads Sunshine Coast playing shirt, belt and cap;
An annual membership renewal fee of $100, payable by 31st January of each year;
Knockout entry fee of $10 per player (optional);
An entry fee for participating in the National tournament (optional)
These fees will be reviewed annually and adjusted if the need arises. However members will be informed of any changes well in advance.
