PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is a state wide program that promotes positive student behavior. The program focuses on teaching students the skills they need to become positive and caring individuals in school, at home and in the community. North Olmsted City Schools PBIS matrix is based on 3 core values: Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Responsible = BE AN EAGLE! The goal of PBIS is to promote positive behavior by setting clear expectations for students. When problem behaviors do occur, the school district can utilize different strategies to help correct the problem behavior and reinforce and teach the expected positive behavior.
