The 4th and 5th grade Modern Band Students decided to make a music video for families and the community to see their progress!
The 4th grade students show the process of learning a song the Modern Band way!
We learned the song during recess over 5 days.

Cleveland is Believeland.mp45th Grade students created a rap about the Cleveland Browns. They chose the beat and the chords, set it to music and we created a hybrid performance! Here is "Cleveland is Believeland."

Happy Hanukkah from Birch!
This is Mrs. Stilla's first grade music class at Birch. They are six and seven years old!
First, we read a book about Hanukkah called "Let's Get Ready for Hanukkah" by Joanne Winne.
Next, we discussed lighting a candle for each of the 8 days of Hanukkah. We learned about a dreidel and how children play games using coins or chocolate. Students also shared the similarities and differences between their own holiday celebrations.
Finally, we combined those themes into a song. The students chose the instruments and decided to add a special introduction as well as a drum set part!
