Re-Imagining Photography Through Digital Collage

Visual Arts Re-imagining Photography through Digital Collage

We will be using photographs as the starting point for our digital collage work. Whether you are using a new smart phone or a DSLR camera, we will choose an image into which we will bring our collage elements, using the free online equivalent of Photoshop - Photopea. Class sessions will cover selection tools and techniques, adding adjustments, masking and using best practices. Classes will be a combination of instruction and studio time to work on your collages, culminating in a print of your work mailed to you.

Audition Requirements: Please upload 5-10 of your best digital work. These can be work done with Photoshop, Illustrator, or any digital painting program (Clip Studio Paint, ProCreate, IVIS, etc.). Camera (smart phone or DSLR). Computer (Windows, Mac, or Chrome - iPads) • Internet connection (strong) • WiFi connection (for your devices). Be prepared to submit the name and email of one (1) adult outside of your family who knows your talent and can provide a recommendation. The request for recommendation will be sent through the application. Upload a 1-2 minute video of yourself telling why you want to attend NOCCA's Virtual Summer Session.
