Creative Writing: The Writer's Room

Students in 10-12th  grades. In this course we will dip our toes into the basics of writing for television. We will discuss episodes of our favorite shows and examine them for craft, then write and prepare pitches for our own show. We will then become a “writers room,” writing and workshopping each other’s scenes to punch them up and/or get them grounded. We will then collaborate on a pilot script for the show we've created as a group.
