Jazz Improv

 Students in 9-12th grade who have prior experience on their instrument, and would like to learn, or improve their Jazz improvisation skills. Emphasis will be on small group combo playing and performing. Music theory, reading, and ear training, will also be introduced as they specifically relate to Jazz music.

Materials: Students must own or have access to an instrument. All other materials will be provided.

Pre-Screening/Requirements: Students in 9 - 12th grades. To be considered, students must have studied their instrument for a minimum of two years. Students must be able to read sheet music for their instrument.
