Management by Iteration
Iterative management is a style of management that requires managers to establish a baseline check-in cycle for team members. Iteration (frequency of meetings, check-ins, touchpoints) is more tight for team members who need more support and work needs closer inspection.

To help articulate the role internally (including to other campus teams) and externally (e.g. to new hires)
To provide an outline for training and development of college team members by defining not only what outcomes, but also what skills and practices (“competencies”) are expected at different levels of development
To provide managers tools and language for performance and development that is based on inputs, not just outcomes, to improve actionability of coaching and feedback
