9th Grade

Bengals C/O 2027,

The Deans of Students would like to welcome you to a amazing start to 2023-2024 school year. We look forward to offering a variety of supports, resources and events to help you achieve and succeed with your academic goals and your first year of high school here at Hansberry College Prep. Below you will find resources you will need throughout the school year.

Enrichment programs have been created to integrate skill development in activities outside of academic classrooms.  We strive to create a culture of learners in a fun and engaging setting.  In addition to our rigorous curriculum, we are encouraging our scholars to develop leadership skills, cultivate soft skills, communicate effectively and promote strong social-emotional skills.

Community Service/enrichment credits are classes or activities undertaken outside of the regular school schedule. Enrichment is a graduation requirement only. Students are encouraged to earn enrichment credit by pursuing their unique interests. Each year the graduation requirement will increase by .25 credit. Class of 2023 will require .50 credit hours, class of 2024 will require .75 credit hours, and class of 2025 and beyond will require 1.0 enrichment credit hours.

Please fill out the following assessment honestly. The information you provide will remain confidential amongst the social work and counseling team-unless something you write, which is deemed to be harmful to yourself or others.  Someone may follow up with you to further discuss programs and services that will promote your health and wellness.
