Join Youth Job Center for our fall job fair! The YJC team will be onsite to assist with resumes and applications, and employer partners will conduct on the spot interviews and hires. You must be between 16-25 years old to attend.
Boys & Girls Club of Chicago Post-Secondary Fair
When? Thursday, November 2nd from 4 pm - 7 pm
Where? James R. Jordan Club (2102 W. Monroe Street)
This is a free event for individuals to explore careers, college options, trade schools and alternative post-secondary plans. Bring transcripts and resumes.
Vocational Training & Trades Apprenticeship Fair
When? Thursday, November 9th from 10 am - 1 pm
Where? 1701 W. 13th Street, Chicago, IL 60608
Career changers, career seekers, and high school students can see what opportunities are out there for them at this fair. An array of non-profits will be there to talk about a huge array of vocational, trades, and post-secondary opportunities and they will be looking for you. If you are an eligible student, by completing a college planning step using your College Board account, you will automatically earn a chance to win a $500 scholarship and an additional chance to win a $40,000 scholarship. There are no essay, minimum GPA, test score, or citizenship requirements. It’s easy to enter scholarship drawings each month. Simply complete one of the steps before the deadline, and you’ll be automatically entered to win $40,000

Brown’s mission to uplift people of all races, cultures and ethnicities – especially our disadvantaged youth.

The Cooke College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial needs who seek to attend and graduate from the nation's best four-year colleges and universities.

This scholarship awards 4 $25,000 scholarships. Drawing on years of commitment to communities across the country, Frito-Lay is looking to support students who are giving back in their own communities and helping to lead us all to a brighter future. Students must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA and demonstrate leadership, work experience, and financial need.

The Burger King Scholars Program provides scholarships ranging From $1,000 to $60,000 to high school students. Scholarships are intended to be used to offset the cost of any college, including 2-year and trade school options. GPA, work experience, extracurricular activites and community service are taken into consideration.

The Jackie Robinson Foundation provides a multi-faceted experience designed to not only address the financial needs of students who aspire to attend college but to guide them through the process of higher education. This scholarship is targeted towards minority students who demonstrate financial need and awards $30,000/year. The application requires a teacher recommendation and four supplemental essays.

The Pullman Scholarship offers students up to $10,000 per year for four years. High school seniors are eligible for the scholarship if they (1) have at least a 3.0 cumulative unweighted GPA, (2) are enrolling as a full-time student in the fall, and (3) are a resident of Cook County.
