Clinical Outreach Communication Activity (COCA) Call: Clinical Management of Critically Ill Adults with Coronavirus Disease 2019

COCA Call: Underlying Medical Conditions and People at Higher Risk for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

2020 Census Operational Adjustments Due to COVID-19

The 2020 Census is underway and households across America are responding every day. Considering the COVID-19 outbreak, the U.S. Census Bureau has adjusted 2020 Census operations in order to:

  • Protect the health and safety of Census employees and the American public.

  • Implement guidance from federal, state, and local health authorities.

  • Ensure a complete and accurate count of all communities.

The public is strongly encouraged to respond online. Options for responding by phone or mail are also available.

This table summarizes the adjustments to operations. Should any additional adjustment become necessary, the Census Bureau will promptly publish the change in an updated document.


COVID-19 Response Supplement: Strengthening Public Health Systems and Services through National Partnerships to Improve and Protect the Nation’s Health

This funding opportunity is emergency supplemental funding to prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19 for the American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) national tribal serving organizations funded under CDC-OT18-1802: Strengthening Public Health Systems and Services through National Partnerships to Improve and Protect the Nation’s Health. Total funding for this NOFO is $10 million.


COVID-19 Response Supplement: Tribal Public Health Capacity Building and Quality Improvement Umbrella Cooperative Agreement

This funding opportunity is emergency supplemental funding to prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19 for the AI/AN tribal nations and regional AI/AN tribal organizations that were previously awarded funding under Strategy 1 under CDC-RFA-OT18-1803: Tribal Public Health Capacity-Building and Quality Improvement Umbrella Cooperative Agreement. AI/AN tribal nations and regional AI/AN tribally designated organizations meeting these criteria are eligible to apply for supplemental COVID-19 Emergency Response Project Plans according to the geographic categories under which they are awarded: 1) Category A: HHS Regions I, II, III, and IV; 2) Category B: HHS Regions V, VI, and VII; and 3) Category C: HHS Regions VIII, IX, and X. Total funding for this NOFO is $30 million.


Severe Illness Associated with Using Non-Pharmaceutical Chloroquine Phosphate to Prevent and Treat COVID-19

Chloroquine phosphate, when used without a prescription and supervision of a healthcare provider, can cause serious health consequences, including death. Clinicians and public health officials should discourage the public from misusing non-pharmaceutical chloroquine phosphate (a chemical used in home aquariums). Clinicians should advise patients and the public that chloroquine, and the related compound hydroxychloroquine, should be used only under the supervision of a healthcare provider as prescribed medications.
