In Settings, change or turn off the sounds iPad plays when you get a call, text message, email, reminder, or other type of notification.
To temporarily silence incoming calls, alerts, and sound effects, turn on Do Not Disturb.

To see all your open apps in the App Switcher, do either of the following:
Swipe up from the bottom edge and pause in the center of the screen.
Double-click the Home button (on an iPad with a Home button).
If Assistive Touch is enabled, select App Switcher.
To browse the open apps, swipe right, then tap the app or Split View workspace you want to use.

If an app isn’t working properly, you can quit it and then try to reopen it. Restarting the app may resolve the problem.
(Typically, there is no reason to quit an app; quitting it doesn’t save battery power, for example.)
To quit an app, open the App Switcher, then swipe up on the app.
To restart the app, go to the Home screen, then tap the app.

You can take a picture of the screen just as it appears, or a recording of actions on the screen, to share with others or use in documents.
Do one of the following:
Simultaneously press and then release the top button and the Home button.
If Assistive Touch is enabled, select Screenshot.
Tap the screenshot in the lower-left corner, then tap Done.
Choose Save to Photos or Delete Screenshot. If you save the screenshot, you can view it in the Screenshots album in the Photos app.
You can create a screen recording and capture sound on your iPad.
Go to Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls, then tap the green plus sign next to Screen Recording.
Open Control Center by swiping down in the top right corner of the iPad (or using Assistive Touch)
Tap and hold the gray record button, turn on the Microphone to record sound as well, and select Start Recording. Wait for the three-second countdown.
To stop recording, open Control Center, tap the red record button or the red status bar at the top of the screen, then tap Stop.
Go to Photos, then select your screen recording to view it.
